Coming from a thirty year veteran of Corneille, and someone who met his wife out there for the first time at 14 years of age, it is no small compliment to say that Eytan is the torchbearer of the next generation of fireislanders. As the designer, architect, general contractor and builder of the pool house bar, as well as the proprietor of the bar during the inaugural summer of 1994, I salute Eytan (AKA the yahoo of Fire Island). I hope that the Pool House of 1998 does justice to the Pool House and the bar. Carry on the tradition and don't forget to spin the lights.

Here we are! The summer is here and the house fully stocked and ready for a summer of a life time. Thanks to all for the help and support to put this project together. I would like to continue using this site as the official Fire Island summer share community web site. I plan to enable the massage board, and add a chat capability. the summer of 94 at the pool house will forever be a part of fire island lore.there can be no duplication.the chemistry was explosive and activity was constant.however,no one will ever field a lineup with the versatility and diversity that skin/pool displayed in that memorable year.the power of the big head,the capacity of big red,the leadership of bill & hilary,the reputation of p-fine,the consistency of pork,ken,whitey,matt,pete,& howie were the cog that kept that machine going at a pace that will never be equaled in a single summer.but,the real beauty is that only those who lived under those 2 roofs during that summer will know the shear power and artistic beauty that we displayed each and every nite at the pool house bar or the notheast elbow at the albatross.from all the pool house alumni of 94, we are very proud to see that future pool house classes have benefited from our toil.we wish you well.

Eytan--great site--reserve a weekend for the founding father and mother of the house. Its good to see the pictures and that Barry's bar is still being put to good use. The bar will survive all-- even if the island is washed away that bar will remain. Hope all is well--love Jennifer

Eytan, this is all very wonderful, but nowhere do I see any reference to your FI mentors, without whom the Pool House (especially the "poolside bar") would not exist in its current state. Me and my fellow Pool House pioneers deserve some recognition! Nevertheless, we are very proud of what you have achieved and that you have carried on the traditions born at the Skin House and perfected at the Pool House. Reserve the Annex for us for a Reunion weekend! Ken, Pork, Barry (aka Frank Lloyd Wright of the Bar), etc.
